Splash parks in Hitchin, Watford, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead, Welwyn Garden City and towns across Hertfordshire are already open. Most welcomed families back in early May.

Yet in St Albans, our splash park is not due to open until 8 July, despite warm weather and growing demand from local families.

Everyone Active operates the splash park on behalf of St Albans City & District Council. The company recently reported profits of £9 million, up by around 50%. Opening the splash park sooner would be a small investment that could make a big difference to local children and families.

St Albans families deserve the same opportunities as those in neighbouring towns. Let's give local children something to smile about this summer.
